Chef Andre Gomez opened Porch Light Latin Kitchen in 2015 at Smyrna’s Village Green, getting in touch with his Puerto Rican and Argentinean roots. The establishment is part restaurant, part lunch counter, and part Latin Quarter deli. The menu at Porch Light Latin Kitchen is filled with street foods, sandwiches, and authentic Latin dishes. On the small and ever-changing menu, you can expect to find dishes like Puerto Rican fried pork chop, confit duck fried rice, empanadas, plantains, and other creative dishes.

Wade’s Fine Eatery and Good Time Emporium

Wade’s Fine Eatery and Good Time Emporium opened on Concord Road in 2017. This laid-back restaurant has a dining room, an outdoor patio, and a rooftop deck. Their menu covers bar snacks, healthy salads, burgers, sandwiches, and wings. Definitely try the Odd Job Korean fried chicken sandwich, a throwback to Villain’s Midtown sandwich shop that was also owned by Wade’s chef and owner Jason McClure.

Taco Cantina

Taco Cantina is a family-owned business from Chef Adolfo Gonzalez making fresh Mexican street tacos, tortas, and more. Located on Spring Road, the restaurant has been in operation since the summer of 2015. On the menu, you will find tacos with corn tortillas filled with your choice of chorizo, barbacoa, beef, and chicken, as well as a selection of tortas, burritos, and nachos.

A Smyrna staple for over a decade, Muss & Turner’s on Cumberland Parkway is a deli by day and a high-end casual bistro by night. Their specialty is the sandwich, with a variety of choices from a vegetarian peach and goat cheese sandwich to a corned beef brisket Reuben. Don’t miss the hidden bar next door called Eleanor’s.
