Another toasty weekend is upon us here in beautiful Tucson! While you could head for the hills and spend the weekend up at Mt. Lemon, there are plenty of great events happening indoors around town. Many of the events are free, or cost just a few dollars to participate in. There are a lot of great family friendly spots for you and the whole family.
Pop in to see some gorgeous birds, educational events, and learn more about owning an exotic bird. Take the kids to show them some great feathered friends, and maybe even take one home. The expo will be held at the Grand Luxe Hotel and Resort on June 13th, at 9 am to 3 pm. They have supplies, toys, and much more to check out. Kids are $5 and adults are $10 for admission. It is cash only.
Grab some delicious Peruvian food and celebrate the heritage of Peru at the Ceviche Festival. This is being held from June 10th at 12 pm to Saturday June 12th at 10 pm. Hosted by Villa Peru, this celebrates the speciality cuisine of Peru.
The local ATTACK comic book club is hosting their action toy and comic show this year at 1530 N Stone Ave. This fun event is open to the public from Saturday June 12th at 10 am through Sunday June 13 at 3 pm. Admission is only $2 and free for 10 years old and under. This is the perfect event for the toy collector, nostalgic seeker, or just someone who loves good action toys and comic. There will be thousands of toys, comics, and other great collectibles to snag.
Try something new and unique by heading to the Udall Park on Saturday morning for yoga with goats! This class is at 8:30 am and are open to all skill levels. Come and relax and play with goats or get a really good work out. The goats are friendly and interactive while you get a good yoga routine down. Spots are limited, so reserve yours ahead of time at the Goat Yoga website. The organizers of goat yoga also hold group or private classes, so if the Saturday class doesn't work, reach out for a private event!
