5 Best Italian Food Restaurants in Arkansas
2021-06-14
Italian food is my favorite comfort food. Whether it be baked pasta like ravioli or fettuccine or traditional pasta dishes like ziti and spaghetti, pasta is loved by almost everyone (even though more and more people are going low-carb or gluten-free). However, it's not all pasta and carbs in Italian food. Aside from fresh seafood and light vegetables, Italian food is known for its flavorful antipasti and spicy sauces.
There aren't as many great Italian restaurants in Little Rock as there used to be. However, we still have a few places where you can satisfy your Italian food craving despite losing old favorites like the Italian Couple and Villa. There are even a few good chains in Little Rock now.
This is authentic Italian food, not pizza. Check the best Italian restaurants in Arkansas below:

Locals have enjoyed Bruno's since the 1940s. Nicola, Gennaro, and Vincenzo Bruno (sons of Stanislas Bruno) arrived in the United States between 1900 and 1905. Giovanni Bruno, another of Vincenzo's brothers, joined them in America after Vincenzo returned to Naples. Sometime between 1903 and 1907, Giovanni arrived at Ellis Island on a boat. Two of the three brothers, Gennaro and Giovanni, that my father credited with helping introduce pizza to America by opening one of the first pizzerias in New York City. Nicola remained proprietor of an Italian grocery store.

Café Prego has excellent service, a casual atmosphere perfect for business lunches or romantic nights out, and a simple menu. It's an excellent place for a quick Italian lunch in the Heights.
When dining in Cafe Prego, try a table by the window, where you can see exciting sights on a quiet street. You can also try their caesar salad, a mixed green salad, chicken Roberto and a pesto mozzarella chicken, all delicious, served hot and fresh. The drinks at Prego's are delicious. You also have an option to dine outside and enjoy the weather! The prices are reasonable, especially in comparison to other restaurants in this area.
