    Where to celebrate the Fourth of July in the Memphis area

    Fourth of July celebrations were put on hold last year, along with many more of our favorite events, holidays, and festivals. This year, our favorite Independence Day festivities across Shelby County are back with a literal BANG! Here's a list of where and when to find all the Fourth of July events happening in and around Memphis.

    Millington Flag City Freedom Celebration

    Thursday, July 1st @ at the Millington Sports Complex, 4885 Bill Knight Road

    Fireworks start at sundown

    Millington Parks and Recreation is hosting their Annual Flag City Freedom Celebration, including a spectacular fireworks show and music by Sherry Oke. The gates open at 6:00 pm and fireworks will begin at sundown. Bring your picnic basket, blankets, coolers and lawn chairs! Food and beverage concessions will be available. For the safety and enjoyment of all, absolutely no lasers, pets, personal fireworks, grills, campfires, or political campaigning will be allowed. It is recommended that you maintain social distance from other families. Parking is $5 per vehicle and is very limited, so arrive early to guarantee your spot.

    Bartlett Fireworks Extravaganza

    Friday, July 2 @ Bobby K. Flaherty Municipal Center, Highway 70 & Appling Road

    Fireworks start at 9:10 pm

    The city of Bartlett is holding their annual Star-Spangled Fireworks Extravaganza in celebration of our nation’s birthday. The night will begin with live musical entertainment from the Bartlett Community Concert Band and Kevin and Bethany Paige. The event will feature a car display and concessions/food trucks. All activities will take place on the lawn of the Bartlett Performing Arts & Conference Center and Appling Middle School.

    The festivities begin at 6:00 pm with an opening ceremony, followed by musical performances at 6:30 and 7:45. When the sun goes down the night sky will light up with a spectacular fireworks show!

    Fourth of July Weekend at Autozone Park

    Friday, July 2nd - Sunday, July 4th @ Autozone Park

    Celebrate Independence Day at the ballpark this year! This Fourth of July weekend, the Memphis Redbirds are commemorating our nation's independence with three consecutive nights of fireworks and cookouts, starting Friday, July 2nd and ending on Sunday, July 4th.

    The Redbirds will be wearing special Independence Day-themed jerseys. Don't miss your chance to take one home by bidding in a silent auction. You can purchase All-You-Can-Eat Specialty Cookout tickets for access to a buffet during the games. There will be special events and give-aways each night, and the weekend will conclude with one of the largest fireworks shows in AutoZone Park history!

    Collierville Independence Day Celebration

    Saturday, July 3rd @ HW Cox Park, 440 W Powell Road

    Fireworks start at 9:30 pm

    Join the Collierville community celebration for our nation at HW Cox Park with the largest firework's demonstration in the Town's history! The festivities will start at 6:30 pm with food vendors, entertainment at 7:00 pm, and the fireworks show at 9:30 pm. Entertainment will be provided by Party Planet and a special live performance by 25 members of the Tennessee Mass Choir.     * Rain date is Monday, July 5. The shuttle service will not be provided this year.

    Graceland's All-American 4th of July Weekend

    Saturday, July 3rd - Sunday, July 4th @ Elvis Presley's Graceland

    Graceland has pulled out all the stops and put together a weekend filled with Rock ‘n’ Roll, Fireworks, and BBQ to celebrate our nation’s independence at Graceland! In honor of the holiday, Graceland will host several special events and parties, and the iconic Graceland Mansion will be beautifully lit in red, white, and blue all weekend long.

    Some of the weekend highlights include an Ultimate Elvis Tribute concert, special "Hidden Graceland" tours, a Gospel Brunch, a BBQ on the Graceland grounds, and an epic Fireworks Extravaganza set to Elvis music! All-American 4th of July Weekend Hotel Packages, Ticket-Only Packages, and Individual Event tickets are on sale at graceland.com/july-4.

    Germantown Family July 4th Celebration

    Sunday, July 4th @ Germantown Municipal Park, 1900 South Germantown Road

    Fireworks start at 9:10 pm

    Celebrate the nation’s birthday at Germantown Municipal Park with live music from the Memphis Wind Symphony and a spectacular fireworks display! This event will include live music from the G3 band, crafts, and concessions starting at 5 p.m. A performance from the Memphis Wind Symphony will being at 7:30 p.m. and the fireworks finale will being at 9:10 p.m. According to the City of Germatown, the following roads will be closed due to the event.

    • Exeter Road from Farmington Boulevard to Neshoba Road will close at 2 p.m.
    • Farmington Boulevard from Germantown Road to Exeter Road will close at 5 p.m.
    • Neshoba Road between Germantown Road and Boulinwood Lane will close at 5 p.m. for vehicle traffic and 8:30 p.m. to pedestrian traffic

    Southaven Fireworks Extravaganza & Festival

    Sunday, July 04 @ BankPlus Ampitheater at Snowden Grove Park

    Fireworks start at 9:15pm

    The city of Southaven invites you to celebrate America's birthday at their free community festival and fireworks show at Snowden Grove Park. The party starts at 4:00 pm, and will include food vendors, kids zone, and live music by Frankie Hollie & the Noise. Fireworks go off at 9:15 pm!

    However you decide to celebrate our nation's independence, please do it safely.
