Police: Fight led to shooting death in Phoenix

(PHOENIX) The first of two unrelated shootings left one person dead in Phoenix Sunday night, FOX 10 reported.

The Phoenix Police Department said the shooting happened in a residential area near 67th Avenue and McDowell Road around 9:20 p.m.

On arrival, officers found a man with a gunshot wound. That man was taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police said early information suggests the man was shot after an altercation inside a residence in the area.

Authorities asked anyone with information to leave an anonymous tip by calling Silent Witness at 480-948-6377.
