Excellent views and craft beer at Harmonic Brewing Thrive City at San Francisco's Chase Center

The new Harmonic Brewing Thrive City at Chase Center has a beautiful waterfront backdrop of the bay and just opened a few months back. I visited the original location years ago on a beer crawl bus sponsored by the San Francisco Brewing Guild.

Harmonic was founded in 2015. Coming from Tampa which has a vibrant craft beer scene, I always want to check out the breweries in San Francisco when I visit. I certainly want to come back here during sunset or on a starry night, the space itself has so much potential for both events and it must be great coming here before a Golden State Warriors game.

Harmonic Brewing did not disappoint. It was a sunny and beautiful San Francisco day, and each beer pour that I tried was great. From their German beer to the sour which had me wincing in joy at the sour flavor in my mouth, everything was great. Prices were about standard for a brewery as well.

Their Electric Apricot Kettle Sour is dry-hopped with Mosaic & Citra. The Harmonic Kolschi is also a solid go-to and goes down easy.

Harmonic told Craft Brewing Business in 2016, “We don’t want to be a brewery that produces a crazy flavor of beer that’s the hit of the day and then forgotten tomorrow. We want to be true to ourselves and have longevity. We want to be in tune with our customers and with the neighborhood to earn people’s respect over a long haul.”

Food options were a little limited, but I did enjoy a fried Cubano – probably one of the best ones I have enjoyed outside of Tampa. We also had a pretzel, chicharrones, and housemade chips. All were good, but not quite filling enough, it seems like they normally have pizza though.

The staff was friendly, and they were quick to bring out orders, even when they were a little busier.

Harmonic Brewing at Thrive City is open to the public from Wednesday to Sunday, with Harmonic beer, local wine & cider, and inventive bar bites available for guests. There also 3 HDTVs inside. There is no reservations policy, but groups of 20 or more people can inquire using the book an event button to plan their gathering.

Overall, it was a really great time at the new Harmonic and I would like to return again soon.
