Mississippi Park is holding a fundraiser to help the environment and humanity

    2021-08-17

ST. PAUL, MN – Mississippi Park Connection is organizing a fundraiser to support the underprivileged and for the benefit of the environment and humanity. Picnic for the Park is the name of this program, which is more than a fundraiser.

The event is concerned about the local ecology, which will be planted with trees as part of a collaborative effort. Furthermore, the cash donated will go toward youth education and community projects.

Picnic for the Park will be held on August 31 from 5:30 p.m to 7:30 p.m. The event will be at Wigington Pavilion at Harriet Island, 200 Doctor Justus Ohage Boulevard Saint Paul, Minnesota 55107. You can experience a lovely evening with your friends or lovers in the Mississippi park with a lot of things you can do:

From the Raptor Center, you can see an eagle closer,

Learn about our River Support program interactive collaborations,

    Silent Auction ticket bidding,

    Lawn games and live music,

Observe the Mississippi River natural charm along with the Saint Paul skyline, and never missed the locals' food and beverage to fill the belly.

Moreover, Picnic for the Park will allocate the donation to outdoor and online youth education programs. The program offers a promising hands-on approach to how learning is integrative from the outside. Empowers children to become enthusiastic learners and enables them to establish a lifetime relationship with the river in cooperation with the National Park Service.

The Mississippi River Fellowship grants youngsters between 18-25 years of age to study the environment career path. The 10-week funded fellowship examines several aspects of the Service National Park, includes Visitor Services, Educational Development, Management of Natural & Cultural Resources, and the Volunteer Program.

In the parks around the Mississippi River, every year Mississippi River Crew recruits around 30 youths. These possibilities for employment creation promote the hiring of employees in the communities of the National Park Service. This fall, volunteers will assist the community in fulfilling its mission of planting 15,000 trees in its Future Plant project.
