    Things to Know About the Telluride Film Festival this September

    SAN MIGUEL COUNTY, CO – News for all movie enthusiasts, after being canceled last year due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Telluride Film Festival is finally reopen in 2021. The 48th Telluride Film Festival will be held on 2-6th September 2021, plus one added day for the weekend event. “We are beyond excited to announce our dates” stated Julie Huntsinger, executive director of 48th Telluride Film Festival.

    This festival will be held with full consideration and safety precautions as Julia said “We are guided by science and are continuously evaluating the global pandemic in relation to health, travel, and live events”. According to the official website, this year Telluride Film Festival will present 40 programs on screen, in nine venues.

    Next information to know is about the tickets, there are four types of pass tickets available. The Cinephile Pass ($390), The Acme Pass ($580), The Festival Pass ($780), and The Patron Pass ($4900). Different ticket will give different experiences, from being able to enjoy special menu of selected new movies, till having priority seat and brunch on Friday morning.

    Another news is that the Academy Award-winning director, Barry Jenkins, will serve as a Guest Director for Telluride Film Festival this year. Beside all of the exciting things, sadly Motion Picture Academy will not make a visit to Colorado for the festival and will not conduct the usual annual reception.

    The line-up for this year festival is still unrevealed to the public, but there are some rumors circulated already about which program will make a screen appearance in Telluride. Not long ago Benedict Cumberbatch at a radio program accidentally confirms that “The Power of the Dog” will be played at the festival. He also confirms that “The Electrical Life of Louis Wain” will make an appearance at the festival too.
