Three recently opened restaurants in Atlanta as of August 2021

ATLANTA, GA — Three new restaurants were opening in the last few months. Atlanta now has new places to get American tacos, vegan hibachi, and breakfast & brunch. Find the three most promising new restaurants in greater Atlanta below.

• Hippie Hibachi

Hippie Hibachi is an ethical restaurant trying to leave as small as possible impact on the environment. They serve healthy vegan and gluten-free food served in eco-friendly packaging. Hibachi is their only menu at the moment but is customizable for personal taste. Customers can choose their own toppings for their hibachi such as tofu, mushroom, veggie, as well as vegan chick’n, and shr’mp.

“I got the vegan Chik'n hibachi with extra yum yum sauce and I ate every last bite,” said Felicia C. on Yelp.

The restaurant is located at 1235 Chattahoochee Ave NW Ste 130 Atlanta, GA 30318. They open every day from 12 p.m. - 8 p.m.

• The Breakfast Boys

The Breakfast Boys is a new black-owned restaurant opens back in May. They operate every day from 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. at 3387 Main St College Park, GA 30337. They serve french toast, green eggs & lamb, salmon sliders, and more.

Kenyatta B. on Yelp said she and her husband loved their Froze and it is now her favorite. She also said the jerk chicken and sweet potato waffles are amazing, “I loved the balance between the jerk seasoning and the sweet potatoe. A wonderful rendition of a brunch favorite”.

• Velvet Taco

Velvet Taco recently opened its new restaurant in June. It is actually their second restaurant in Atlanta with their first is located at Buckhead. In fact, they already have dozens of restaurants across the U.S. before opening this one.

Their tacos are available with toppings such as Nashville hot chicken, buffalo chicken, beer-battered cauliflower, and Angus brisket. These American-style toppings are quite unusual as most taco places would sell them with typical Tex-Mex toppings.

“Perhaps the best Cauliflower Tacos I've had thus far,” said Kathryn L. on Yelp.
