Everything you can do at Virginia-Highland Summerfest

    2021-08-23

ATLANTA, GA — The annual Virginia-Highland Summerfest will be back on September 25 & 26 on Virginia Ave located between Arcadia St. at John Howell Park and Barnett St.

This event is held as an annual fundraiser for the VHCA or Virginia-Highland and Civic Association, a non-profit organization focused on maintaining and improving the historic Virginia-Highland neighborhood.

Here is the list of everything you can do at the Summerfest:

    1. Find many original artworks

This festival will feature Artist Market on September 25 from 10:00 am to 6:30 pm and September 26 from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. Here, you can find many artworks in various price ranges and media, including painting, clay, metal, stone, glass, jewelry, and more.

    2. Participate in a running race

For those interesting in joining a running race, you can join the Summerfest 5K Road Race on September 25 at 8:00 am. Since the registration for this race often closes out quickly, they encouraged anyone to register in advance.

    3. Enjoy children’s activities

Kidsfest will also be available for anyone coming with children on September 25 & 26 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. Included in what they offer in Kidsfes are games and crafts for all ages.

    4. Fill your stomach with plenty of delicious food

After tiring with all the activities, you can enjoy plenty of delicious food and beverages from both festival vendors and local restaurants. All will be available throughout Summerfest.

    5. Singalong with local musicians

Lastly, you can also enjoy music performances of many renowned local musicians and nationally accredited singer-songwriters. The music line-up will come out soon.

In addition, if you are Virginia-Highland residents, you may also join the annual community dinner that will be held as a pre-event of Summerfest on September 24 from 6:00 pm – 11:00 pm. This year, this event will have live music and feature lawn games, a raffle, and a Tug-o-War Competition.
