HOUSTON, TX - Looking for fun events for your kids in the city? There are some upcoming events for kids happening this Saturday. You can keep the children entertained and help them learn something new from these fun events. We have gathered up three upcoming free events for kids around Houston.

1. Free Introductory Karate Class for Kids Ages 5-12

It is a good idea for kids to learn martial arts since there are numerous benefits they can get. You can start with this free beginning karate workshop for kids hosted by Premier Martial Arts. The workshop class will take place on Saturday, August 28 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 at 2714 West Lake Houston Parkway Suite 170.

Children ages 5 to 12 are welcome to join this workshop class. Your kids will earn a white karate belt and even be able to break a real board that will be presented during the class. They will also learn some character-building values such as self-control, focus, self-discipline, courtesy and respect, perseverance, and goal setting.

2. Sunny Side Event For The Culture

If your kids enjoy lively outdoor events, then this one is for them. Presented by Houston mayoral candidate Robin Williams, Sunny Side Event For The Culture will take place on Saturday, August 28 from 2:00 to 6:00 at 3502 Bellfort Ace.

This free event will feature many exciting activities and stuff such as food, juice bars, school supplies, backpacks, Zumba, face painting, motivational speakers, R&B performance, mental health specialists, and more. It is a great event to enjoy your weekend with children, family, and friends.

3. Open Paint Saturday

A family-friendly event to learn and practice painting skills. Hosted by PrimaryPaintParty.com, Open Paint Saturday will be held on August 28 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at 11002 Westheimer Rd, Houston. All needed supplies will be provided.
