    11th Annual STRIDE to Save Lives 5K Walk in Oswego Sept 25th

    The Oswego County Suicide Prevention Coalition will host the 11th annual STRIDE to Save Lives Walk to raise awareness of suicide and mental health. This event will take place in person on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at Breitbeck Park in Oswego. Free Registration is online through Friday. On Site Registration begins at 9:00 a.m. The program will begin following registration and check-in. Raffles will be available with proceeds to benefit the Coalition. A limited number T-Shirts will be available for donations of $25 or more. Read more

    CENTRAL NEW YORK (WSYR-TV) — Here are the numbers for COVID-19 in CNY, as reported by local health departments. Onondaga County Executive Ryan McMahon announced the loss of four neighbors over the weekend, including a man in his 60s, and three women in their 70s, 80s and 90s, respectively. All four had underlying conditions, the county executive said. Over the weekend, the county saw 412 new cases, plus 146 new cases reported on Monday. There are 19 neighbors currently in the ICU.     OSWEGO — For flight attendants, flying is a way of life. For an experienced attendant like Vicki Rabozzi, helping others is a critical part of that life. Rabozzi, a Delta Airlines flight attendant who resides in Oswego, last month aided in the mammoth evacuation of Afghan refugees fleeing their homeland as the U.S. ended a two-decade occupation of the Central Asian nation. The PalladiumTimes recently spoke with Rabozzi, who served as a flight attendant on a flight bringing Afghan refugees from Germany to the United States. Read more
