Colorado 14ers Pikes Peak Northwest Slopes (Crags Trail) Hike Guide - Part 1
Pikes Peak is a great winter 14er, but makes for a long day on the mountain. The northwest slopes route, also known as the Crags Trail, is the shortest year round to summit Pikes Peak and is the best option for the winter. The hike was about 16 miles and 5,000 ft of elevation gain and consisted of 4 parts. This is the first.
