    Clayton Clickers’ 5K Turkey Trot

    Clayton, Georgia

    Event Date: November 25, 2021 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.

    This 5K run begins at Fromage and Other Fine Foods and winds through Downtown Clayton ending back at Fromage for prizes. There will be costume prizes and run placement prizes for various age groups. Proceeds go to the local Food Bank’s Food2Kids which provides food for kids on the weekends.

    Gobble Jog

    Marietta, Georgia

    Event Date: November 25, 2021 at 7:30 a.m.

    More than 10,000 runners will take to Marietta Square on Thanksgiving morning for the 19th Annual Gobble Jog. Choose between the 10K, 5K, 1K, Tot Trot (100 yards), or phantom runner options. By signing up, you are benefitting MUST Ministries and helping to provide food and shelter to someone in need.

    Thanksgiving Day Half Marathon, 5K, Dash

    Atlanta, Georgia

    Event Dates: November 25, 2021 through November 26, 2021 at 5:30 a.m.

    The Thanksgiving Day Half Marathon is Atlanta’s biggest Thanksgiving pre-game. Organized by the Atlanta Track Club, the annual Half Marathon, 5K, and Dash takes you through Atlanta’s historic neighborhoods like Inman Park, Old Fourth Ward, Grant Park, and Little Five Points. Once you have finished the race, you are treated to a medal, a t-shirt, free photos, and a post-race pie.

    2021 Gobble Til You Wobble 1 Mile, 5K, 10K, 13.1, 26.2

    Event Date: November 25, 2021 through November 30, 2021

    Moon Joggers is showing their love for Turkey Day with the 5th annual Gobble Til You Wobble Run. This virtual event allows you to complete your race anytime in November, even better if it’s on Thanksgiving. A percentage of proceeds goes to Feeding America, the nation’s largest domestic hunger relief organization.

    Thanksgiving Dinner 2021 at Legacy Lodge at Lanier Islands

    Buford, Georgia

    Event Date: November 25, 2021 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

    Legacy Lodge at Lanier Islands is serving up all your Thanksgiving favorites in one of their beautiful ballrooms. Let someone else do all the cooking and cleaning for you this year! Seatings are scheduled hourly, space is limited, and reservations are required.

    “Walk Off That Turkey” Hike

    Tallulah Falls, Georgia

    Event Date: November 26, 2021 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

    Join state park rangers at Tallulah Gorge State Park for a moderate hike to help shed the extra Thanksgiving pounds. The hike will go off the beaten path and will consist of rope assisted climbing. Space is limited, so reserve your spot early.

    Black Friday “Sip & Shop” Event

    Blairsville, Georgia

    Event Date: November 26, 2021 from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.

    Head to Paradise Hills Resort and Winery for Black Friday shopping and great deals on wine and gifts. There will be a holiday wine release, huge discounts, free basket assembly or gift wrap, cork crafts, grapevine wreath building, a Christmas Cookie Contest, live music, and an ugly sweater contest.

    Thanksgiving Paddle

    Rutledge, Georgia

    Event Date: November 26, 2021 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

    Enjoy a guided afternoon paddle tour of Lake Rutledge at Hard Labor Creek State Park. You’ll learn the history of Hard Labor Creek, enjoy paddling to nature, and work off your Thanksgiving dinner. Space is limited and pre-registration is required.
