Capturing the Geminid Meteor Shower and "Christmas" Comet Leonard From a Dark Sky Park
On December 12th, the day Comet Leonard was closest to Earth, we shot it on its approach. This voyage took the comet about 80,000 years as it made its orbit around the Sun and will probably never return again due to its orbital path. We also shot the Geminid Meteor Shower while at Copper Breaks State Park, Texas and had fun with more phone astrophotography.
