I don't know who went teach you folks but it's not how I was taught how to cook in an imu. 1.you folks needed more wood than that. I can tell your fire died too early 2 da stone goes on top of the wood and you like the rock turn white in the sunlight (glowing orange/red in the dark). I give you folks credit at least you tried.
