Toxic Lake! (...Just a Little Longer) at This Peaceful Texas State Park
At Lake Colorado City State Park, the blue-green algae is starting to dissipate, and the water quality is beginning to return to normal. This means dogs and humans alike will be able to resume water activities within a couple of weeks. Texas Parks and Wildlife does a great job protecting visitors and is very cautious when it comes to park safety. This well-maintained state park is the perfect place to take the family to enjoy the outdoors if you are ever between the cities of Abilene and Midland in the great state of Texas.
