With lots of 1930s CCC structures and a fantastic cave, Longhorn Caverns State Park is a great destination of anyone interested in both Texas history and karst landforms. Take a guided tour into the caverns and also wander around the amazing grounds. Also, consider taking a hike on the Backbone Ridge Trail System in the park or spend some time having a picnic under some old growth Texas trees. It's a nice place to spend the day!
