    Couple Found Dead in Uptown Senior Home

    Chicago police are investigating the deaths of a man, and a woman found dead inside their apartment in a senior home in the Uptown neighborhood.

    According to NBC Chicago, police responded to a well-being check on Sunday at approximately 8:30 p.m. at an apartment building in the 1000 block of West Montrose Ave. They located two individuals, a 79-year-old man and a 61-year-old woman, dead in the apartment's bedroom.

    The female victim suffered one gunshot wound to the side of the head, and the male victim appeared to have trauma to his face. According to the Cook County medical examiner's office, the victims were identified as Sheila Banks and Ocie Banks Sr.

    There was no sign of a break-in, Chicago Suntimes reports.

    Last week during a well-being check, an 81-year-old mother and her two children were found dead inside their house in the Morgan Park neighborhood.

    ABC 7 reported that the family was found dead inside their home near West 113th Street and South Green Street during a well-being check. CPD revealed that a woman in her eighties was found dead on the residence's first floor with a gunshot wound to her head. Another victim, a 64-year-old woman, was found on the home's first floor with a gunshot wound to her right torso. The third victim was found in the second-floor bedroom with a gunshot wound in the right torso.

    According to CPD, all victims were identified by the cook county medical examiner as Arteria Riley, 81, Thomas Ann Riley, 64, and Ruben Riley, 61.

    Chicago police are investigating.
