    Denver Weather: Cloudy, cold Monday with rain and thunderstorms

    (DENVER, Colo.) Monday's weather forecast predicts chilly and wet conditions in the Mile High City.

    Rain and thunderstorms are likely to occur before noon. A slight chance of rain is possible between noon and 1 p.m. The National Weather Service in Boulder predicts cloudy skies over Denver Monday, with a high temperature near 49.

    Expect north to northeast winds at 7 to 14 mph. Winds might gust as high as 22 mph. There is a 60% chance of precipitation.

    The skies over the Mile High City Monday evening will be mostly cloudy. The low temperature will drop to around 34.

    Anticipate northeastern winds at 5 to 7 mph to become light and variable after midnight.

    Looking Ahead: More showers and thunderstorms Tuesday

    Rain showers and thunderstorms will continue into Tuesday in Denver.

    The weather service predicts a slight chance of rain between noon and 3 p.m., followed by a chance of showers and thunderstorms. However, the skies will be mostly sunny.

    The high temperature will reach near 67. Expect light and variable wind to become east to northeast at 9 to 14 mph in the morning.

    Wind gusts could reach as high as 21 mph. There is a 20% chance of precipitation.

    Tuesday evening will be wet and chilly, with another chance of showers and thunderstorms. The skies will be mostly cloudy as the low temperature will reach around 41.

    Expect south to southeast winds at 6 to 14 mph to become north in the evening. Winds could gust as high as 21 mph.

    There is a 50% chance of precipitation Tuesday evening.
