An Ohio vet tech napped in her home next to the decomposing corpses of 20 dogs. Additionally, SCDN has uncovered some Facebook posts that could be considered disturbing in light on the grim discovery.

A Health Department Animal Control Officer was the first to discover the hellish scene at a Sycamore Street home on Thursday. Payton was there to investigate reports of a stench coming from the house.

When no one came to the door, Payton entered the home accompanied by police officers through an open back door.

Nothing could have prepared Payton and the other officers at the scene for what they discovered. The scene was so disgusting that even jaded police officers became physically ill.

Police found twenty dead German shepherd/shepherd mixes inside the home, along with 28 living animals. Witnesses say the home’s resident, Samantha Damron, was napping beside the liquefying corpses of the animals.

Unbelievably, Damron is currently employed as a veterinary technician. Damron frequently shared pictures of groups of dogs on her social media. Additionally, she had several posts criticizing others for taking poor care of their animals. Damron called one breeder a “dumpster fire.” Damron also spoke out about the amount of stress that veterinary care providers suffer.

She also seemed to have an interest in animal skeletons, sharing a post from a site offering skeletons of kittens and puppies and other collectibles related to dead animals.

Police and animal control then swung into action to rescue the remaining dogs in the home. They transported twenty-seven animals to the Animal Shelter. One dog is currently in an animal hospital in critical condition.
