Michigan Man Accused of Killing Girlfriend and Keeping Body in Basement

A man in Michigan is facing trial after being accused of murdering his girlfriend and keeping her corpse in his basement for seven months afterwards.

Matthew Lewinski is charged with murder and mutilation of a corpse in Clinton Township after allegedly strangling his girlfriend to death inside of their home.

The trial began with Lewinski’s sister, Debra Federico, describing how the victim’s remains were found.

Federico was checking on the home with a few other people while Lewinski was hospitalized when the body was discovered and police were contacted.

Michigan Man Found Guilty of Murdering Family

Lewinski has reportedly admitted to the strangulation to prosecutors and has been deemed competent to stand trial after multiple mental evaluations.

Keep the 3 R’s in school, but anger management needs to be taught in grades K-12. It isn’t taught at home. Parents all too often give in to their children because they don’t want to have to give up something themselves. If you ground a child, you have to be grounded too, and parents can’t handle that.
