Deadly North Carolina Shooting Leaves 1 Dead and 1 Critical

After a shooting in North Carolina, one person died and another is being treated for injuries.

After receiving reports of a shooting, police arrived at the 1000 block of West Trade Street, near Frazier Park, shortly before 9 p.m. Friday.

North Carolina Mother Arrested for Drowning Her 2-Year-Old Son

Paramedics pronounced one of the victims dead at the scene. The second victim was transferred to a nearby hospital with a potentially fatal injury.

Police have not revealed any information on a possible suspect as of yet.

North Carolina Man Killed in Farm Explosion

The homicide was "totally unrelated" to the Uptown protests that followed the Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, according to CMPD.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600 or 704-432-TIPS and talk with a Homicide Unit detective.
