This weekend, Dua Lipa became the latest in a long line of incredible artists and celebrities to pull off SNL "double duty" -- that is, filling both coveted spots of host and musical guest on NBC's long-running Saturday Night Live sketch comedy show, created in 1975 and executive produced by Lorne Michaels .
This got us thinking about ALL of the others who have also been given the unique chance of making us laugh and dance our way through the weekend, including quite a few iconic artists, a number of where-are-they-now's, and even a few celebs who surprised audiences with their musical prowess.

28-year-old Pop star Dua Lipa took over the SNL stage and screen on Saturday, May 4, marking her third time (2018 and 2020) appearing as the show's musical guest and her first time as host . For the musical portion of her visit, Dua performed her new Radical Optimism tracks "Illusion" and "Happy For You," and appeared in a number of sketches throughout the night.

Bad Bunny was announced to be the musical guest and host on the October 21, 2023 show, making it his third appearance after being the musical guest on February 20, 2021, and performing in two sketches. Benito also made a remote cameo appearance in an “SNL at Home" sketch on April 25, 2020, during the pandemic.
