The Battle of Lincoln was a five-day-long firefight between the Murphy-Dolan Faction and the Regulators that took place between July 15–19, 1878, in New Mexico. This is the story how one side of the gangs held up in the El Torreon. A historic tower that was built by Spanish settlers to protect themselves. This is the story of the EL Torreon and its Spanish and Old West history. A tower that is said to still house the gang's and Spanish settler's spirits.
