Ron DeSantis has been dominating the news cycle ever since President Biden took office.

And now everyone seems to be glued to their screens, following how Florida Governor Ron DeSantis will manage his next few months in office.

If everything goes well, DeSantis may create a springboard for his 2024 presidential bid in the following months.

    Handling Trump

As former President Donald Trump continues to look weaker, DeSantis appears stronger as a presidential contender. If DeSantis can keep up his momentum, his White House dream is not out of reach.

It will depend on how he handles Trump, who has already started publically threatening DeSantis.

According to Republican advisers, one of DeSantis’ biggest advantages over Trump is that he has significant influence over public policy in a mega-state that is regarded as setting national trends for Republican legislation.

Trump is capable of discussing altering the nation. DeSantis, on the other hand, proved adept at governing in a way that impressed the GOP base. Political observers expect more of the same, which will aid DeSantis in remaining in the spotlight and not peaking too early.

Recently, DeSantis gained another provocative proposal that caught national headlines. He called for a grand jury to investigate COVID-19 vaccine manufacturers.

In March, DeSantis may be put to the test as the Florida Legislature starts its annual 60-day legislative session.

Every move DeSantis makes over the next few months will be intensely criticized, with Trump waiting to seize on any mistake.

Trump has started condemning DeSantis since Election Day, calling him “DeSanctimonious” and an “average” Republican governor.

Trump also said he’d “handle DeSantis” in a mob-like public threat.

Recent national surveys show DeSantis ahead of Trump with GOP primary voters by double digits.

Trump questioned the accuracy of the surveys on his Truth Social platform because, of course, he did.
