The site said it then “ranked each by total number of submissions, ratings, reviews, and geographic representation, among other factors.”And the top restaurant to check all the boxes in Pa. is just a short drive from Harrisburg.Lancaster’s Chellas Arepa Kitchen came in at 11th on the list.“This roadside trailer is like a portal to South America, thanks in large part to its delicious take on Venezuelan arepa sandwiches,” Yelp wrote. “The traditional corn cakes are stuffed with a wide array of Peruvia-Venezuelan ingredients, influenced by owner Luis Quiroz’s upbringing in Peru.”Among other things, Yelp said that customers “line up for faves like the Lomo Arepa, which is loaded with grilled steak, sauteed red onions, tomatoes, and fried yuca, then drizzled with a house-made chimichurri sauce.”There’s a long list of delicious sounding dishes that the site lists as must tries at this place.West Chester’s Two Birds Café was the second-highest ranked Pa. restaurant on the list, coming in at 51st.The site says that “people flock to Two Birds Café for breakfast and lunch made from scratch, right down to freshly baked breads and pastries with a ‘just-out-of-the-oven vibe.’ It said that Jess and Justin Minchak opened Two Birds in 2019 “after dreaming of opening their own restaurant for more than 5 years.”Listed first in the popular dishes — cinnamon buns.Sounds awesome.And, finally, Pittsburgh’s Pitaland rounded out the trio of Keystone State food stops to make the list, coming in at 96th.Yelp said it is “Considered Pittsburgh’s original Middle Eastern bakery,” and that it “turns out some 10,000 of the pocket breads each day.”Listed as a popular dish there — the lamb burger, which Yelp says includes “freshly ground lamb mixed with rosemary, mint, garlic, and topped with creamy feta, pickled red onions, arugula, and herbed mayo on a toasted ciabatta bun.”The site says the burger is “beyond words.”So, anyway, hungry now? If so, you know where to go.
