(WFXR) — The Bedford Boys Tribute Center will be hosting a “Welcome Home” parade for the Alpha Company, 1st Battalion, 116th Infantry Brigade Combat Team of the 29th Infantry Division on Feb. 11.The parade will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday from the Liberty Station Restaurant parking lot, and it will conclude at the steps of the Bedford County Courthouse.Bedford Police Department warns motorists to be mindful that from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 on Feb. 11, the following streets will not be available for travel in preparation and clearing of the parade: <ul><li>Bedford Ave. towards N. Bridge</li></ul><ul><li>N. Bridge towards E. Main Street.</li></ul><ul><li>East Main St. ending at Otey St.</li></ul>The parade will honor the Alpha Company who left on Nov. 12, 2021, for a one-year deployment in support of the Combined Joint Task Force to the Horn of Africa as part of “Operation Red Dragon.”The 29th Infantry Division Band will be in attendance, performing their “Military Medley” music at the Bedford County Courthouse. The Founders of the Bedford Boys Tribute Center, Ken and Linda Parker will also be there greeting the returning soldiers, alongside the Mayor of Bedford Tim Black, President of the National D-Day Memorial April Cheek-Messier, and the Commanding General of the 29th Infantry Division Major General John M.
