DeSantis is slowly losing his cool with Donald Trump. It seems like the former US president sees Florida Governor as a direct threat to his upcoming campaign.

Trump is no stranger to bashing DeSantis publically. DeSantis has been taking the higher road all this time, until now, that is.

Florida Governor seems ready to start exchanging jabs with the former President.

    The Republican brawl

Ron DeSantis retaliated against Donald Trump's most recent accusation after the former president reposted a social media message suggesting that the Florida governor acted inappropriately towards youngsters when he worked as a private school teacher.

The post includes a picture from a story published in 2021 by the Hill Reporter, a blog operated by a Democratic super PAC. According to the blog, the image is of DeSantis partying with some teenagers in 2002.

In November, the New York Times revealed that DeSantis occasionally "hung out at parties with seniors" when he was a 23-year-old Georgia teacher.

On Truth Social, a social media platform by Trump labeled the image "pretty gross." Trump shared the original poster and commented, "No way?"

DeSantis shrugged it off when questioned about the attack during a press conference on Wednesday in Ocala, Florida.

"I spend my time delivering results for the people of Florida and fighting against Joe Biden; that's how I spend my time," the governor said. "I don't spend my time trying to smear other Republicans."

Trump's criticism of DeSantis came on the same day the governor moderated a panel discussion on defamation. He said that the Florida legislature should make it simpler to sue media organizations for defamation.

DeSantis said he's in a different position as governor when questioned about how the proposed law may handle Trump's criticism.

"It's different for me because I can fight back, and people just know I face defamatory stuff every single day I've been governor. That's just the nature of it," DeSantis said.

DeSantis, who is considered a potential 2024 Republican presidential candidate, has come under Trump's fire.

Trump is seeking the Republican nomination for the third time. Polls frequently ask who would prevail in a hypothetical primary contest between the two candidates. And DeSantis has been getting more attention than Trump lately.

What do you think about the brawl between Trump and DeSantis?
