Surprise! We Found A Comfy New Coffee Spot in Downtown Dallas, GA.

Dallas, Georgia's, downtown area features a local playhouse theatre, limited shopping and lots of government buildings. But it's a virtual restaurant desert, with only one pizza place in the immediate area.

But since November 2022, Dallas also features a friendly, comfortable local coffee shop -- if you can find it!

Good Stuff Coffee is located just off Main Street in Dallas. But it's the "just off" part of that description that makes this friendly coffee stop a little hard to find. With a basement location below Main Street's Kitsch and Color home goods store, you'll actually enter Good Stuff off of Spring Street. That side-street entrance is conveniently located across from a large free parking lot. For the directionally challenged and GPS dependent, the street address is 109 W Spring St, Dallas, GA 30132.

Once you find it -- and, if you're tall, duck to avoid the low overhead clearance at the entrance -- you'll want to go back often. Good Stuff delivers a comfortable, homey environment, great service, a wide variety of coffees brewed and customized coffees, sweet snacks and some really cool swag items. There's also an array of other edible and collectable goods offered for sale in a small grab-and-go shopping area.

We grabbed a quick cup-o-Joe, then settled in for a few minutes of solitude to sip our coffee while reading a few chapters of our latest library novel. The large seating area features comfortable chairs near a fireplace, perfect for a conversation with a good friend or just relaxing with your coffee or tea.

Surrounding our table for two, a lone patron connected to the free wifi and stared into a computer screen. Other groups shared laughs and conversations.

When we ordered, it was immediately obvious that the cafe workers knew their regulars, often addressing them by name and confirming their "usual" coffee choices. They also recognized that we were newbies, offering a warm welcome and helpful suggestions.

All in all, we felt at home at Good Stuff. We'll be back again when we're out toward Dallas.
