    2023-03-21

According to a press release by the Bibb County Sheriff's office, On March 14th, deputies responded to a call on Waterville Road about two stolen vehicles. These two vehicles and a third were found nearby in a densely wooded area.

Interestingly enough, all three vehicles were stuck in the mud, but that's not the bizarre part. When deputies were searching one of the stolen vehicles, there was a black male, later identified as 35-year-old Eric Ivan Searcy-Bryson, asleep inside. All three vehicles have been returned to their rightful owners. Searcy-Bryson is currently in custody, where he will face three counts of felony theft by taking auto and probation violation.

These incidents are still under investigation. Bibb County Sheriff's office asks anyone who knows anything about these incidents to please contact the Bibb County Sheriff's Office at 478-751-7500 or Macon Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-877-68CRIME.
