A New Seafood Boil Restaurant Has Opened in Strongsville

    2023-03-21

Seafood Shake is a popular restaurant in Cleveland Heights that specializes in Cajun-style seafood boils. After achieving success on the eastside of Greater Cleveland, the restaurant is looking to get similar results in Strongsville, a suburb on the westside.

On March 18, Seafood Shake celebrated the grand opening of its Strongsville location. The restaurant is located at 16532 Royalton Road, which used to be the Strongsville location of Rockne's, a Northeast Ohio chain of casual dining restaurants.

The restaurant's menu includes, of course, seafood boils. You can order seafood by the pound or one of the combination bags. Seafood options include clams, fish fillets, headless and peeled shrimp, sea scallops, shrimp with heads on, snow crab legs, King crab legs, green mussels, blue mussels, lobster tails, and crawfish. If you don't care for seafood, you can order a bag with chicken and/or sausage.

Flavor options for the boils include non-spicy options like lemon pepper and garlic butter, mild options like Cajun and the shake sauce, and hotter options like ma-la spicy and shake sauce mixed with ma-la spicy. You can also customize your spice level. If you're feeling particularly brave, check out the extreme spice level, which is the hottest one the restaurant offers.

In addition to seafood boils, Seafood Shake offers fried seafood such as shrimp, catfish, ocean perch, and walleye. The restaurant's menu also has fried chicken wings and chicken tenders.

As for beverages, in addition to your standard soft drinks, Seafood Shake has a selection of fresh fruit teas made with jasmine tea. Flavors include mango, strawberry, grape, orange, grapefruit honey, kumquat with lime honey, and peach. Their beverage menu also includes yakult (a sweet Japanese probiotic milk beverage). Flavors include dragon fruit, lemon, and strawberry. You can also add a variety of toppings to these drinks such as lychee jelly, boba, mango jelly, popping boba, crystal boba, sweet red bean, aloe vera, and/or cheese cream foam.

The restaurant is open on Monday to Thursday from 11:30 AM to 10:00 PM, Friday and Saturday from 11:30 AM to 10:30 PM, and Sunday from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

Seafood Shake is located at the Plaza at Southpark, 16532 Royalton Rd, Strongsville, OH 44136.
