The Shocking Plan: DeSantis Bids to Tear Apart Florida Families

Florida GOP is preparing a plan to tear apart families in the Sunshine State.

Rights activists in Florida sound the alarm on several anti-immigration laws that may rip at "the fabric" of the state and run the risk of dividing families as the state GOP works to pave the way for Gov. Ron DeSantis to run in Republican primaries.

The entire move depends on assaulting immigrant families. It seems like GOP is ready to throw Florida families under the bus if that means a good chance of DeSantis winning the presidential nomination.

Join the witch hunt, or else

DeSantis, who is widely anticipated to run for the presidency next year, is urging the Republican-dominated state Legislature to approve Senate Bill 1718 and House Bill 1617.

The bills would force publicly funded schools and hospitals to join the GOP's anti-immigration crackdown. It would also make it illegal for all Floridians to provide undocumented immigrants with housing, employment, or transportation.

Under the proposed legislation, residents of Florida might face a third-degree felony charge which carries a maximum five-year sentence, for "knowingly" transporting, harboring, or concealing undocumented immigrants. This seems to extend to schools and all public institutions.

    Tearing apart Florida families

According to Aaron Reichlin-Melnick, policy director of the American Immigration Council (AIC), nothing in the law would prevent the state from bringing charges against individuals who drive their undocumented relatives to family events or against bus drivers who transport undocumented children to school.

Hospitals would also be forced to inquire about patients' immigration status and report undocumented patients to the state. While undocumented patients would still nominally be able to receive care, critics claim that the legislation would undoubtedly lead many to avoid seeking medical attention out of fear.

DeSantis has also suggested removing in-state college tuition for those undocumented students and Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) participants. The legislation would invalidate undocumented immigrants driver's licenses and restrict admission.

What do you think about DeSantis clamping down on immigrant families and public institutions?

I believe our govener is performing treason by dealing with immigration when immigration is the sole responsibiity of the federal government. Trump, as President. had no right to deal with immigration without the Congess and the Senate ordering allowing a fence to be built without putting laws and and funding in place legally. IT was a waste of money because fences are only on top of the ground. Smugglers have been using tunnels for years. So if you don't spend money to prevent to prevent the tunnels you wasted alot of Money
