Lake Fausse Pointe State Park in Louisiana is a campground favorite! We had a very cool bayou front site with our own deck over the bayou. The park has hiking trails, cabins for rent, bayous to explore, a splash pad for the kids, launch ramp and wildlife. The park has 6000 acres of wetlands, bayous, canals & islands. The town of New Iberia - James Lee Burke's childhood summer home and location for settings of his novels is close enough for a visit, as well as Avery Island - home of Tabasco!
