    Do you or someone you know need a job or looking for other options? Did you know there are virtual and in-person job fairs almost every day in Philly? All you need is your resume, some talking points, and a little determination, and you, too, can find a new job.

    Here are the Top 3 places to find a job fair and some of them will even help you update your resume and prep for your interview:

    The Free Library of Philadelphia

    Everybody needs a library card and should try to visit their local library a few times a year. The library is such an underutilized resource. In addition to books, they have countless workshops resume writing to basic computer classes - both in-person and virtually. For example:

    Monday, May 22, 2023 - PA CareerLink® Job Search Assistance at Lillian Marrero Library Call 215-685-9794 to confirm the time - Meet with a Community Workforce Connector from 11:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for one-on-one job search assistance.

    Saturday, June 3, 2023 @ 10:00 AM - Youth Job Fair at West Oak Lane Library
    Young people, ages 12 - 24, are invited to come to the West Oak Lane Library's Youth Job Fair from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. We encourage all participants to bring copies of their resume and to dress casual.  You will have access to summer employment, apprenticeships, and more.

    Eventbrite is an event platform for all types of events including job fairs.

    Virtual Job and Career Fair - Tuesday, May 24, 2023, 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM Virtual Job Fair from JobFairX and Cloud Hire

    CareerLink is a state employment agency with county offices so here are some pointers to help you find a job fair:- Go to the site and click on Events and then put in your zip code- Then narrow your search to your county or city.

    Indeed – is a great job platform but remember always try to send a cover letter with a few points that aligned with the job description and send a thank you letter after an interview

    Looking for an internship or paid community service opportunity?

    Think about AmeriCorps – there are over 30 programs in Philadelphia, and they are a great career launching pad or place to serve during a gap year.
