    2023-05-22

The community of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral will hold the 48th Annual New Orelans Greek Festival on Friday, May 26th - Sunday, May 29th, along the banks of Bayou St. John.

According to the festival's website, The New Orleans Greek Festival has been a favorite Memorial Day weekend destination among locals since its inception in 1973. Offering an array of authentic homemade Greek food and a friendly family atmosphere, the event annually hosts over 20,000 guests. Delicious homemade Greek food will be available both inside the Hellenic Cultural Center and outside on the Cathedral grounds. Among some of the classic menu selections for your Greek culinary experience include roasted leg of lamb and orzo plate, lamb rack, pastitsio dinner with green beans, tiro pita, and spanakopita, Greek salad, gyro and souvlaki. Preparations began in February to help ensure the large variety and quantities of homemade Greek baked goods demanded by the public each year with baklava being an all-time favorite.
