Former President Donald Trump is facing yet another criminal trial.

A federal grand jury indicted Trump on charges relating to the hundreds of secret documents confiscated from his Florida resort, Mar-a-Lago.

We can expect Trump to frame his criminal charges as another way his enemies are coming after him. He'll say indictments are a hoax. This is Trump's go-to way to justify his failures, blaming everyone else but himself.

The evidence tells a different story.

    Hiding in Mar-a-Lago

FBI search discovered more than 300 classified documents at Mar-a-Lago in 2022, a year after Trump left the White House.

Justice Department Special Counsel Jack Smith looks into possible records handling violations involving the national defense.

According to a person informed on the investigation, Trump was indicted on seven charges.

Trump asserted his innocence in a post on Truth Social after confirming the charge.

According to Trump, the "Biden Administration" notified his attorneys that he had been indicted "seemingly over the Boxes Hoax."

Then he complained about Biden's ownership of secret materials, which is the focus of a different inquiry.

Legal experts contend that since the data were seized at Mar-a-Lago, accusations against Trump for improperly handling sensitive documents may be the most straightforward to prove.

Trump had maintained on numerous occasions that he could take records with him when he left the White House, despite the Presidential Records Act transferring title to the National Archives and Records Administration and that he had declassified them.

"I have the absolute right to do whatever I want with them," Trump said.

Many of Trump's advisers and allies denounced the indictment on social media, email, and broadcast networks.

According to a person aware of the situation who was not authorized to disclose it publicly, prosecutors reached out to Trump's lawyers before announcing his indictment on his Truth Social platform.

What do you think about Trump facing yet another indictment?

shocked? hell no. what IS a bit of a disappointment is the number of so called patriots join him in trying to discredit the DOJ and FBI. y'all wanna join with a proven loser? give it your best shot. know this, when I vote, I look at the history of the candidates. I will know if you support a criminal defendant. if a candidate does, that is the end of their ability to earn my vote. and I can see that I am not alone in that position.
