When firefighters found the source of the smoke, they found a single-story apartment unit on fire. The officer in charge called for additional resources as the other firefighters began to battle the blaze. The driver of the fire engine checked neighboring units to ensure everyone was out.Additional arriving crews were able to determine that the occupants had all escaped the fire and no injuries were reported. Portland Fire officials say the fire was knocked down quickly and crews began the process of searching for hot spots. An investigator was called to the scene and will determine the cause of the fire. The family of three who live in the affected apartment will be displaced, but will be able to live with family, officials said.</div></body>
