    Gym Opening June 12 - Steel City Fitness, Luray’s newest gym, will officially open its doors on June 12 and will be open 24-7. Located at 12 East Luray Shopping Center, the gym is offering discounts for seniors and first responders. Membership forms may be accessed at steelvalleyfit.com.     Flotzies Reopening June 12 - Flotzies, the popular ice cream stand near Wal-mart Shopping Center, will reopen under new ownership. Owners Jimmy and Arnetta Martz can't wait to welcome everyone back. For more information, follow them on Facebook @Flotzie’s.

    Chop House coming to Luray - Harrisonburg-based LOCAL Chop & Grill House has purchased the former Moonshadows restaurant in Luray with plans to open for lunch and dinner, beginning in September. Menu offerings are expected to have a southern flair, with vegan and vegetarian options available. For updates and information, follow @localchops on Facebook.

    Frozen treats in East Luray - A new ice cream shop will soon open behind the Hair Cottage in Luray (903 East Main Street).     PCSO police scanner online - The Page County Sheriff’s Office police scanner broadcast is currently available via website or app. These broadcasts are made available by individuals and are not streamed in any official capacity by local law enforcement agencies. Several apps are available for FREE use and download. On most apps, a “local” or “nearby” feature will automatically find the PCSO broadcast stream. One free app to try is “Police Scanner Radio” (orange and black icon) which has a “nearby” tab to pick up broadcasts from Page, Shenandoah, Rockingham and Warren Counties.

    Vendors needed for Browntown Farmer's Market - The town of Browntown will be hosting a Farmer's Market one Saturday each month, through October. They're seeking local farmers, homesteaders and vendors to participate. $15 per space, per Saturday. The first market will be held on June 24, 10am - 2pm. Interested in becoming a vendor?
