Former President Donald Trump is firing at Florida Governor Ron DeSantis directly.

Trump claims Florida governor is "hallucinating" in response to DeSantis' flip-flopping statements on the Trump-appointed Supreme Court justices.

This response came after DeSantis, the former president's main rival in the Republican primary, said he would "do better" than Trump when appointing judges.

DeSantis has claimed as part of his 2024 presidential campaign that he could build a "7-2 conservative majority on the Supreme Court that would last a quarter century."

He also envisioned increasing the conservative majority even further.

DeSantis replaced three liberal justices on Florida's highest court in 2019 with conservative ones, a strategy he has continued this year.

Florida governor is the front-runner in the 2024 elections. Still, DeSantis is yet to launch an aggressive campaign against the former president, despite Trump's constant and personal attacks on him.

DeSantis argued there was an "uneven application of the law" in response to Trump's indictment in a Department of Justice probe into allegedly mishandled classified documents, and he suggested officials were overly "zealous in pursuing Trump."

Despite DeSantis' generally cordial treatment of him, Trump has continued to poke his presidential rival with callouts addressed to Ron "DeSanctimonious."

According to a recent Reuters poll, 43% of self-described Republicans said they would vote for Trump if he ran for president.

DeSantis received about 22% of respondents' votes, indicating that the news of Trump's indictment did little to sway people's minds.

The Supreme Court now has a 6-3 conservative majority, including Trump's three nominations: Justices Neil Gorsuch, Amy Coney Barrett, and Brett Kavanaugh.

However, Trump-appointed Supreme Court justices have broken rank and voted to limit racial gerrymandering in Alabama. This decision could impact Texas and other Republican strongholds.

What do you think about DeSantis's comments regarding the Supreme Court?

This author isn’t from the USA - much less Florida. He has no stake in the game and is thousands of miles away. So why all the negative DeSantis and president Trumps articles? My guess he’s a paid for - my the left - propagandist spreading division.
