Texas 2of 2:Across all 50 states Texas is ranked as the 10th least educated state in the U.S. The Lone Star State was also found to have one of the least percentages of high-school diploma holders. When it comes to state spending on education, Texas trails the national average by over $4,000 per student, earning our state an F-rating and ranking 42nd in the nation in per-student spending. The impact of underfunding our public schools is long-lasting.

Texas:Texas has the highest rate of maternal mortality in all of the developed world. And gynecologists are fleeing the state and closing practices since the abortion ban became law. So that’s got worse under Abbott. Texas ranks 50th in uninsured healthcare for residents. Rural hospitals have closed left and right under Republican rule in Texas. You are more likely to die from a preventable illness or accident in Texas because medical facilities are few and far between. When Republicans talk about mass shootings being a mental health problem, who do you think closed most mental health facilities in Texas. You got it, Republicans. Of course business wants to come to Texas. Texas businesses pay little to no taxes and has a cheap labor force. That’s why Texas is called the “China” of the United States. We do not support fair wages for workers. When it comes to wage policies, Texas ranked 40th out of 52. In the area of workers' protections, Texas ranked 45th out of 52.
