Ron DeSantis continues to trail behind Donald Trump in the polls despite his impressive fundraising numbers and introduction into the campaign on a hyped-up wave.

Desantis' donors are becoming increasingly concerned with his performance. The victory seems further away now that DeSantis is officially running for president.

Florida governor has raised $20 million for his presidential campaign since the announcement.

    Donors want to support winners

The conservative Murdoch family, which owns News Corp. and Fox Corp., is said to be losing patience with DeSantis.

Additionally, according to those who know the situation, several donors have expressed their misgivings to fundraisers as worries about DeSantis grow across the board.

Some contributors are concerned DeSantis faces an impossible hill on his way to the Republican nomination, Donald Trump.

In addition, they worry that Trump has a sizable advantage against DeSantis in terms of Republican Congressional endorsements.

According to a representative for the wealthy CEO of Citadel, one megadonor, Ken Griffin, "continues to assess the field" about the GOP primary field of candidates.

Griffin stated in November that he would have his support if DeSantis decided to run for president.

The megadonor contributed over $100 million to Republican candidates in the 2022 midterm elections, primarily for state and federal offices. This amount included $5 million for DeSantis' successful reelection campaign in Florida.

So far, Griffin's involvement with pro-DeSantis organizations like Never Back Down, a super PAC supporting DeSantis' presidential bid, is unclear.

Griffin was not mentioned by a fundraiser for the organization when questioned about the top individual contributors to that PAC.

The super PAC has collected $130 million since the committee launched in March.

Meanwhile, some believe DeSantis would be a better Vice President under Trump than a President of the United States.

DeSatan was NEVER a viable candidate. He’s alienated his home state for greater aspirations of spreading his Fascist ways to the rest of the US. Send this piece of shit back to the depths of hell from whence he came. He’s been an absentee governor who has done NOTHINg for Floridians, despite the few clueless voters who would say otherwise
