Sip a signature cocktail and check out Chicago's gorgeous skyline as you wait for brunch to be served at the top of the historic LondonHouse building.

(CHICAGO) If you're looking for a picturesque spot to grab an early cocktail and some incredible food, check out Chicago's LondonHouse's Rooftop Bar.

It's hard to beat LondonHouse for brunch with a view.

Located at the top of the 22-story luxury hotel at the corner of North Michigan Avenue and Wacker Drive, LondonHouse offers rooftop dining at the top of the historic skyscraper.

Eat your brunch at some of Chicago's most iconic buildings and the Chicago River as your background.

What's on the menu?

You can check out LondonHouse's summer 2023 brunch menu here. Some featured items include:

• Lolli-waffles: Buttermilk waffles served on a lollipop stick with maple syrup, berries, and whipped cream. You can top it with your choice of sugary, kid's cereal.
• Ube French Toast: French toast topped with coconut ube (a purple yam native to Southeast Asia) sauce, roasted macadamia nuts, mango, and ube ice cream.
• King Crab Benedict: Eggs Benedict topped with king crab meat, sauteed spinach, and chipotle hollandaise.
• Chicken and Waffles: Crispy fried chicken served with waffles and topped with hot sauce, truffled jalapeno honey butter, and maple syrup.

As for cocktails, LondonHouse has creative craft cocktails you can sip while enjoying the view and the tasty food.

Some of the highlights include seasonal sangria, house mimosas, and specialties like the Don Appetit (Don Julio Blanco, Apricot Liqueur, and lemon.)

Should I make reservations?

Yes, it's recommended. You can go here for reservations. LondonHouse brunch is offered Saturday and Sunday from 11 AM to 2:30 PM.

History of the LondonHouse building

For the history buffs, be sure to check out the plaque on the sidewalk in front of LondonHouse Chicago. Brass rectangles say, "Site of Fort Dearborn," marking the spot where Fort Dearborn used to stand.

And on the LondonHouse building on the southwest corner of Michigan and Wacker is another plaque that states, “Here stood Old Fort Dearborn 1803 – 1812.”

Fort Dearborn was a United States fort, built in 1803 beside the Chicago River. Parts of the fort were destroyed when the river was widened, and the fort was completely destroyed during the Great Chicago Fire of 1871. All that remains of Fort Dearborn are the plaques that mark where it once stood.
