Books, Burritos and Brews in Kenmore

There are no statistics or demographic information that I can find on the numbers of people who love books, beer, and taco trucks, but if you’re one of those people (like myself) there’s a monthly event in Kenmore tailored just for you. And even if you only like one or two of those things, in any combination, it could still be a fun event.

On the second Friday of the month, Cairn Brewing, Blue Kettle Books, and Taco Cortes team up to offer Books + Burritos + Brew from 4 pom to 8 pm at the Cairn Brewing location in Kenmore.

Blue Kettle Books is a bookstore on wheels. A bookmobile where the small, well-curated selection is all for sale. They carry books for everyone from kids to adults. You can find them at area festivals, flea markets, and more.

Taco Cortes drives to locations all over the region and serves up a great menu of tacos, burritos, tortas, quesadillas, and more from the brightly decorated black truck. Everything goes perfectly with beer. They also offer a quesadilla plate for kids.

Cairn Brewing, where all the fun takes place, is a local brewery located along the Burke-Gilman Trail in Kenmore. The taproom is family-friendly, and offers non-alcoholic beverages and games. It’s also pet-friendly for leashed dogs, and has treats for your furry friends. It offers a good variety of brews, from pale ales and IPAs, to stouts.
