    Delcambre Shrimp Festival - August 16, 17, 18, 19 & 20

    401 Richard Road

    The 71st annual Shrimp Festival happens this weekend in the city of Delcambre. Located about 20 miles southwest of Lafayette, Delcambre is home to one of the area's most productive shrimp fleets. Started as a way to raise funds for the Delcambre Fire Department, the festival continues to support community projects.

    Admission to the festival is free, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday nights. On Friday and Saturday, gate fee is $10 for attendants older than 12, and free for those 12 and under.

    Wednesday, August 16

    • Family Night - Ride bracelets $27
    • Gates open from 6:30 PM to 10:00 PM
    • 7:00 PM Music by Matt Castille

    Thursday, August 17

    • Family Night - Ride bracelets $27
    • Gates open from 6:30 PM to 10:00 PM
    • 7:00 PM Music by Swampland Revival

    Friday, August 18

    • Family Night - Ride bracelets $27
    • Gates open from 6:30 PM to 11:00 PM
    • 7:00 PM Fais-do-do Music by Jamie Bergeron & Kickin' Cajuns, Wade Hayes, Clay Cormier & The Highway Boys

    Saturday, August 19

    • 9:00 AM Shrimp Cook-off
    • 11:00 AM Concessions open
    • Street Fair Bracelets (11:00 AM to 5:00 PM - $27; 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM - $27)
    • All Day Fais-do-do Music by Homer Stelly, Krossfyre, The Beau Young Band, Dustin Sonnier & The Wanted, Neal McCoy

    Sunday, August 20

    • 10:00 AM Mass at the Shrimp Festival Building followed by the "Blessing of the Fleet"
    • 11:00 AM Festival gates open
    • 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM Ride Bracelets ($27)
    • 12:00 PM Fais-do-do under the Pavillion, Music by Ryan Foret & Foret Tradition
    • 4:00 PM All concessions close

    Shrimp festival guests can enjoy boiled shrimp, fried shrimp, shrimp salad, shrimp sauce piquante, and many more delicious foods. Plenty of fun for all ages, there will be a lot to see, hear, and eat.
