Luray Triathlon & Duathlon
Set in the scenic Shenandoah Valley near the friendly town of Luray, Virginia, the 18th Annual Luray Triathlon offers a fun-filled, challenging multi-sport weekend. Register and compete in the Hawksbill Double, both the Sprint & Olympic races. August 19, 2023: Olympic Triathlon - 1500 Meter Swim | 25.4 Mile Bike | 6.2 Mile Run; Olympic Duathlon - 1.7 Mile Trail Run | 25.4 Mile Bike | 6.2 Mile Run; Olympic Aquabike - 1500 Meter Swim /25.5 Mile Bike. ​August 20, 2023: Sprint Triathlon - 750 Meter Swim | 16.7 Mile Bike | 3.1 Mile Run; Sprint Duathlon - 1.1 Mile Trail Run | 16.7 Mile Bike | 3.1 Mile Run; Sprint Aquabike - 750 Meter Swim |16.7 Mile Bike. AUGUST 20 - 26

Luray. Page Valley (Page County) Fair. New Grandstand entertainment includes the Gospel Harmony Boys, included with gate admission, and Gospel contemporary christian singer Anne Wilson, finishing out the week the fair welcomes True Grit Rodeo. Nashville recording artist, Spencer Hatcher will be in the pavilion at the Page Valley Agricultural & Industrial Fair on Saturday, August 26th Showtime at 7PM.

Fan favorites like the horse show, the truck and tractor pull and the demolition derby remain unchanged. The bustling midway offers amusement rides, pavilion acts, axe throwing, Grace the donkey, and even LIVE dinosaurs! Rides will operate from 6 PM to 11PM each night Monday through Saturday.

Daily Admission:Adults: $10.00; Children (6-12): $5.00; Under 6: Free.

Season Gate Pass: Adults: $35.00; Children (6-12): $20.00; Under 6: Free

Ride Bands: $20.00; Kids Night (8/21) Bands: $15.00

Twisted Bingo

Shenandoah Community Center 300 First Street, Shenandoah, VA 22849. Doors open at 3pm and Games start at 4pm! Come one come all to our Twisted Bingo, Silent auction, door prizes, 50/50 and more. This is a Benefit for Charlie's Guiding Light Early Learning Center in Luray, VA and Moving Mountains Academy of Early Learning in Shenandoah, VA. What is Twisted Bingo you ask? Twisted Bingo is you get to CHOOSE your Prize out of the 20 prizes that are on the stage! There will be concessions. Keva Lab
Shenandoah.12:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. Keva Lab at the Shenandoah Community Library 418 S Third Street, Shenandoah, VA 22849. Drop by the library and build with Keva Planks. Explore what you can build and create with these fun, simple planks! Keva Lab is geared towards kindergarten through 5th grade youth.

Free Clinic Open House
Join the Page Free Clinic for their open house on Friday 8/25 from 4:30pm - 7:00pm. Learn about their services, get your blood pressure checked, and have a chance to win great door prizes. Page Alliance For Community Action will also be giving tours of the community garden and Enroll Virginia will be available to answer health insurance questions and sign guests up for Medicaid or other health insurances. Shenandoah. 9:00 a.m. Drifting Event Shenandoah Speedway (301 Precision Road).

Gardening Workshop
Shenandoah. 12:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. Gardening Workshop at the Shenandoah Community Library 418 S Third Street, Shenandoah, VA 22849. Come enjoy interactive activities from a Master Gardener. Event includes a story time for younger children, too.

ValleyFest Beer & Wine Festival
McGaheysville. 12 PM – 6:30 PM. 4616 Massanutten Dr, McGaheysville. Food Vendors: Bayou Kitchen, K's Grill, Thirsty's Burgers, Urgie's Cheesesteaks, Sherri's Crab Cakes, Base Camp, Bowles Southern Fried, and Prepopsterous Popcorn.Arts & Crafts Vendors; Wine & Cider; Craft beer plus plus FIVE special Virginia beers tappings throughout the day! Free Music in the Park
Join the town of Shenandoah for its Free Music in the Park Series. Big Gem Park 736 Fourth Street from 6pm-8pm. Don Smiley will be playing (Outlaw Country). Movie Night in the Park
New Market. Join in the fun with a throwback film, The Goonies, Saturday, August 26, 2023 at sundown (approx. 8 pm). Come out to the New Market Community Park to watch the movie. The 2023 Fair is back this year, with an action-packed week of family fun, big-name grandstand concerts, agricultural exhibitions, special programs and much, much more! Chris Tomlin concert on September 1. Pig scramble on August 30 (kids 3 to 8 years old welcome to participate).

Clogging Dance Performances
The Shenandoah Valley Cloggers are performing at Skyland Resort in Shenandoah National Park, from 7:30-8:30 p.m. on Thursdays, including September 14 & 28. FREE and open to the public, the shows feature a variety of music, from bluegrass, country, to pop, 1970s favorites and more.
