U.S. News and World Report released their list of the best places to live in the U.S. for 2023. They analyze 150 metro areas in the United States each year to find the best places to live. The report is based on the quality of life and the job market in each metro area, as well as the value of living there and people’s desire to live there.

Green Bay took the #1 spot this year. The publication cited Green Bay as being, “The perfect mix of big-city amenities complemented with a Midwestern, small-town feel.”

In addition to Green Bay’s well-known football team, the Green Bay Packers, there are many fun things to do in Green Bay. Lambeau Field hosts regular stadium tours, and just across the street, The Titletown district has free, fun things to do for the entire family. It features a full-size football field and park, plus a tubing hill and ice skating rink in the winter. The Resch Center also hosts many national headliners for music lovers, just to name a few things to do in the area. The video below shows a more comprehensive look at the area’s attractions.

Green Bay also has an exciting, and continually growing, culinary and craft beer scene. They currently have 13 breweries and a diverse selection of restaurants, ranging from traditional Midwest supper clubs to contemporary bistros.

The report also cited the low cost of living in Green Bay as one of its advantages. A house in Green Bay costs less than the national median.
