In this video,&nbsp;Makayla danced as she tried on a green shirt that was in size XXL and showed how it compared to the same shirt, but in a size 2XL. <nbtemplate data-id="AdPlaceholder" data-content="JTdCJTdE"></nbtemplate> In my opinion, the XXL appeared to be shorter in length than the 2XL shirt. It didn't cover or even reach her waist, but the 2XL shirt came closer to her waist. The 2XL shirt also appeared to be longer in the sleeves. She gave a view of each shirt from behind, but it was kind of hard to see the difference because the shirts were scrunched up above her <a href="https://bellatory.com/news/let-out-jeans-hack" rel="nofollow"> waist. </a> "Did you know that XXL and 2X are different," she said in her caption. In the comment section of another video, Makayla said, "Pssst… XXL is straight sizing and 2X is plus sizing!" I noticed this when I could still fit and shopped in the junior sections at clothing stores. The junior section would have an XL size, but if I went to the women's section and found the same exact <a href="https://bellatory.com/news/woman-flips-grandma-shirt" rel="nofollow"> shirt </a> in a 1X, it would fit me much better. <nbtemplate data-id="AdPlaceholder" data-content="JTdCJTdE"></nbtemplate> Both shirts would fit, but the 1X gave me more wiggle room and comfort. I often have to size up my <a href="https://bellatory.com/news/plus-size-black-tops" rel="nofollow"> tops </a> anyway just to fit my chest, but knowing that I've *almost* fit into a top doesn't make it any easier while shopping. I always want to feel comfortable and not snugged. What I usually do is go into stores just to try on clothes and figure out what my sizing is for that store. Then, I shop online and purchase those same clothes (because I can find promo and discount codes, duh). I've found it helpful to also know my dimensions and to check them against the website's size guide for the clothes and against the model if she is midsize or plus size.
