Celebrate the 1st annual NOLA Funk Fest for 3 days of fun

Come out to celebrate Louisiana’s rich music history at the 1st annual NOLA Funk Fest, which will be held on Friday, October 20th - Sunday, October 22nd at The New Orleans Jazz Museum.

The NOLA Funk Fest is the coming out party for The Louisiana Music & Heritage Experience, a museum of grand scale dedicated to the preservation of Louisiana’s rich musical history. This festival features programming giving attendees a taste of what the museum will offer. The festival will feature an exhibit "I Found My Thrill: The Music and Artistry of Fats Domino and Dave Bartholomew," which will be housed at the New Orleans Jazz Museum for 6 months before embarking on a state-wide tour. Festival programming will also include two symposiums where oral histories, flavored by musical performances, will highlight the evolution of Blues and Jazz into R&B, Rock and Roll, and Funk.

NOLA Funk Fest will feature some of New Orleans' best musical artists for 3 days on 3 different stages, including performances by The Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Bucktown All Stars, Big Sam's Funky Nation and more.
