Missing Murder Suspect Found After 7 Months

The U.S. Marshal Service have located 23-year-old Christian Demond Williams a murder suspect that had been missing for 7 months, while they were following a lead on the October 16th, 2023 escape from the Bibb County Jail. He was scheduled to start trial on March 6th, 2023, but mysteriously he was kidnapped in the early morning hours the same day.

The Marshals were following a tip about four men who escaped from the Bibb County Jail, when they were led to the Pines on Vineville apartments in Macon, Ga., just before 7 a.m. As they knocked on the door they were met with a gunshot through the door. After S.W.A.T. team arrived the U.S. Marshals found Williams inside with a single gunshot wound to the head. A woman who was also inside the apartment during the raid stated that Williams shot himself.

Investigators revealed the man that shot himself was infact the missng murder suspect Christian Williams. Williams died 24 hours later at the hospital from his gunshot wound. The Bibb County Coroners Office said that his gunshot wound did appear to be self-inflicted, but they were going to perform an auscaped Bibb County Jail inmates at the time, the Sheriff's Office would not release any information on the connection so it remains unclear.

Williams was wanted for the April 2021 murder of 27-year-old Greg Watkins, the murder happened outside of the Quick Serve convenience store at 584 Emery Highway. The woman that was inside the apartment was identified as 21-year-old Mykia Mynesha Williams, the girlfriend of Christian Williams. She was arrested and booked into the Bibb County Jail charged with a felony, for aiding or permitting another to escape lawful custody or confinement.
